Hi, I'm Amy. Thanks for visiting! Life is full of daily struggles, and it is sometimes nice to have a caring and non-biased person to help figure things out. I also understand that reaching out to a counselor can be difficult. As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), my goal is to create a therapeutic relationship that is meaningful, non-judgmental, and genuine.
I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee, but I have lived in Nashville since 2005. My private practice office is in Nashville, Tennessee located near Belmont University, Music Row, and Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. I also offer telehealth counseling.
In my career and training, I have worked as a mental health counselor in middle and high school settings for six years and have had internships with non-profit agencies in the Nashville area. In these roles, I have conducted individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, mediations, and organized efforts focused on suicide prevention.
When I am not counseling, I am an avid sports fan rooting on my favorite hometown teams. Go Preds and Titans! I enjoy traveling, being a dog mom, FaceTiming with my two nieces, and exploring all the new restaurants, activities, and experiences Nashville has to offer. I also volunteer in the community with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Nashville, The Sexual Assault Center, and The Foster Care Review Board at Davidson County Juvenile Court.
