Are you new to or nervous about counseling? Counseling can often times be intimidating, overwhelming, or even uncomfortable. I want to help you feel more at ease while discussing the challenges you are facing. Being vulnerable and open is extremely tough. I really admire your courage for wanting to explore and potentially make a change.
My specialty is working with teenagers and adults in their 20's and 30's as transitions and experiences throughout those stages of life can be hard to manage. I use an eclectic framework for counseling including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Strength-Based Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Topics addressed in a session can range from life's daily stressors, anxiety, and relationship issues to past/current trauma and crisis.
